Acro Yoga is a form of partner yoga which incorporates balance, strength, flexibility, and trust. It was developed by the father of modern yoga, Krishnamacharya, and in recent times has developed into a popular and incredibly diverse practice. 

In this class we will explore the basics and biomechanics of Acro Yoga, will learn how to share deep stretches and decompression techniques, and will introduce the basics of 'washing machines,' or flow of movements and transitions. This class is open to all levels, and beginners are absolutely welcome!

No partner? No problem! You may be surprised to find out that many students attending these classes are arriving without a partner. These classes will allow you to work in a comfortable and safe atmosphere with one (or often 2) other partners who share your enthusiasm for Acro Yoga! 

Acro yoga helps us to find a deeper sense of balance, confidence, core strength,  and flexibility,  and creates an equilibriam between muscle strength on the two sides of the body, as well as the two hemshperes of the brain. Did I mention core strength? Or core strength?

Expect to laugh, have fun, and play in this class!
