Sept 15th - 17th, 2017
Help us raise awareness and funds to help enable children in our community who are facing chronic, life-threatening or debilitating conditions experience the joys and friendships of summer camp!
The community of yoga is grounded in love, support and gratitude. Join us for this amazing wellness weekend as you not only take the time to give yourself the love and relaxation you deserve, but also to share that love and support with kids and families in need within our own community!
Join us for our third annual fundraising initiative to support this great cause!
Located on the shores of Stave Lake in beautiful Mission, BC, Zajac Ranch for Children is situated on over 40 acres of pristine forested land. In the summer months the Zajac Ranch provides camps for children with chronic, life-threatening and/or debilitating conditions. These experiences give participants the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and to enjoy the diversity and beauty of the wilderness surroundings.
The ranch provides a full medical staff and hospital facility to ensure the needs of all of their campers are met while they enjoy an experience that may never otherwise be logistically or financially possible for them and their families. The allowances raised to help families send their children to these specialized camps would not be possible without the generosity of local volunteers, donors and corporate sponsors who provide their time, selfless service, and resources to make this dream a reality for kids in our community.

Room types vary based on your accommodations, but you will find all of them similar in their theme, simplicity, and cleanliness. The dorm rooms are located on the lower floor along with the lower level shared bathrooms. The private rooms and more shared bathrooms are located on the upper floor hosting either one, two, or three beds per room. The lodge also has a warm and cozy common area where sofas and armchairs snuggle around the wood burning stove. Read a book, play a game, or just just enjoy some social time with friends. There is even an area for ping-pong!
Meals will be healthy, nourishing dishes served in buffet style feasts! The ranch is equipped with an amazing kitchen and for this retreat we will be bringing in Chef Kristina Jacob and her team to take over the camp kitchen and create an incredible culinary experience for all. Enjoy meals, healthy snacks, and beverages in the ranch's spacious cafeteria style mess hall which even has an outdoor eating area for nice days. If you have any allergies or dietary needs (including gluten free or vegan), please be sure to let us know at the time of registration. We will do our best to accommodate!
Yoga and meditation sessions will be offered at many different times of the day, so you are free to choose the times and classes that feel best for you. You may attend as many or as few as works for you! Please be sure to bring your own yoga mat with you. Centered Within Yoga will bring all of our bolsters, straps, therapy balls and blankets for your class enjoyment, but if you have your own items please feel free to bring to them with you.
During your free time you may choose to do what ever your heart desires! There will be set times where you can enjoy a dip in the pool or hot tub, enjoy a session of journelling, sound healing sessions, or join us for an outdoor campfire with smores and hot chocolate around the amphitheater (weather permitting). You may choose to enjoy games in the common areas, play in the soccer field, meander the many nature trails through the forest or to the lake, take a nap, or simply relax with a good book or in the company of friends.
