Zumba is the class that started the dance-fitness revolution and changed the way we look at a “workout” forever. It’s fun, effective and best of all? Made for everyone!
We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.
This is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
Zumba is one of the most fun and effective exercises there is. Best part of all, you don't have to be a dancer to try Zumba. The steps are simple enough that anyone can pick it up. Just move your body and follow my lead. Gym membership? Nah, come join the party! I guarantee you will have a blast! I look forward to meeting you in the near future!
Erin is currently a performer and coach at Circus Lab in Langley and a former performer with The Underground Circus and Westcoast Contortion and Acrobatics. She is currently performing with Blink Acro and Artistic Expressions Productions. Erin started dance at age 5 and found her true passion in contortion and acrobatics at the age of 8. Erin studied under the direction of Anne Lawton from Westcoast Contortion and Acrobatics and has trained with Otgo Waller, a world-renowned contortionist from Cirque du Soleil. She has also trained on aerial silks with Kristi Toguchi, a Las Vegas performer as well as former Cirque Du Soleil performers; Ninon Parent and Peter Boulanger. Erin is also a dance instructor, teaching young acrobats at Dance Fx in Maple Ridge. Erin has completed all her South African Acrobatics exams with honors with distinction, and her CTDA exams with honors. When she is not bending herself in half she spends the rest of her time dancing. She is trained in jazz, contemporary, theatre, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop and is now a newly certified Zumba instructor.
