Kid's Yoga Workshop w/ Astika - Ages 8-13

These classes are designed to be super fun and playful for the children!  There will also be moments of calmness. The children will learn different ways to connect with their breath while  using their imagination.  We will invite calmness into our body and minds at the beginning and at the end of class....  with lots of fun and interactive movement in between!

This class is targetted for ages 8-13. The kids will learn a series of poses as we act out a story.  We will also play games that build fine and gross motor skills and proprioceptive awareness. The children will also learn mindfulness and meditation. There will be discussion around accepting and feeling emotions and using different breathing techniques to keep the body calm.
