In this morning's foot fixer class we discuss the importance of toe spreading and stretching the toes open. Not only does it improve circulation and mobility for the feet, but it also dramatically enhances the proprioceptive capacity of your entire nervous system! Proprioception is the body's "sixth sense" that provides a subconscious perception of your body's position and movement in space. This ability allows for coordinated movement, balance, and maintaining posture, and it's crucial for tasks ranging from walking to writing, enabling us to interact with the environment and control the force or speed of our actions without needing to look.
