Sound Healing & Yin Yoga Workshop w/Astika

Join Astika on this guided journey through a yin yoga & restorative yoga sequence while listening to the healing vibrations of singing bowls and other healing instruments.

The vibrations from the instruments help you relax, bring stillness to your mind, and helps return balance to your body. Everything in the universe vibrates with frequency. Human beings have their own frequency, called resonance. When our body is out of balance, our resonance is too. The frequencies from the sound healing instruments can bring your body back into a healthy vibration.

Astika will be playing the instruments through the holds, and also taking the time checking in with all the students throughout the entire yoga sequence, making sure everyone is comfortable and supported in every pose.

Yin yoga is stretching with long holds, to stretch deeper into the connective tissues. Restorative Yoga is when we support our body with props and let ourselves completely relax, allowing our tissues to restore and repair. The poses will be a combination of Yin and Restorative Yoga, and will be very gentle.

Every pose has ways to modify, making this workshop suitable for all levels.

Expect to feel more open and spacious in your body, and have more peace and calmness within.

Arrival Time: Doors open at 6:00

We begin class at 6:15 to allow time for everyone to settle in and gather props.

Please bring a blanket and a water bottle. A mat too, if you have one. If not, we have a few extras you can borrow.

The rest of the props will be provided.
