Karma Healing is a beautiful round building with heated floors and amazing acoustics. The perfect space for sound healing! Enjoy the healing atmosphere as you soak in this special time for yourself ~ with this extra long yoga class!
DOORS OPEN AT 2:40pm (please wait until 2:40pm before entering, thank you)
In this Healing Session, we are inviting balance into:
- the physical body with gentle yoga
-the mind with meditation
-the energetic body with sound healing
-emotional body through the practice of acceptance & nonattachment
~Using breath to weave everything together as you celebrate yourself as a whole complete being ~ embrace yourself exactly as you are in this moment in time~
Everything in the universe vibrates with frequency. Human beings have their own frequency- resonance. When our body is out of balance, our resonance is too. The frequencies from the sound healing instruments can support you in bringing your body back into a healthy vibration- back into balance.
Focusing on all of the different sounds can help us slow down our thoughts and bring stillness to our mind. The vibrations from the sounds also support us in relaxing our body into each pose. Sound vibrations travel through the body to every cell- encouraging the tissues to soften and let go of tension.
Astika & Kelly will be checking in with all the students throughout the entire yoga sequence. Making sure everyone is comfortable and supported in every pose.
We will be using miracle balls for spinal decompression and a bolster to support our body in different restorative poses. We will also be finding some gentle stretches for the hips, shoulders, and neck.
Each pose has ways to modify, making it suitable for everyone!
Expect to feel more open and spacious in your body, and have more peace and calmness within.
We look forward to sharing this incredibly relaxing and healing evening with you!
What to Bring:
-A mug or thermos if you wish to have tea
-A mat if you have one (we have some extra!)
(bolsters, blocks, neck pillows, miracle balls and tune up balls are provided)
WHAT IS THERAPEUTIC REPAIR:
By its very definition, yoga is inherently a therapeutic practice. It helps to heal and rebalance afflictions of the body, the mind, and the energetic / emotional self. Ultimately, the overall health of your body boils down to how efficiently your body is able to repair itself, and how well it is able to cope with the stressors you experience every day. The health of the body affects the health of our mind, emotions, and vitality. Experiences like stress, pain, compensation, misalignment, and incorrect breathing can all get in the way of our natural process of restoration and repair. Therapeutic Repair offers a gentle approach to healing with the introduction of healthier breathing, mindfulness, stretching, decompression, and fascial care techniques to repattern and restore the innate healing processes available in each of us. All healing is self-healing, and this class is designed to teach you the skills you need to become empowered in your own inherent healing wisdom.
Astika and Kelly are both trained in therapeutic repair yoga with Centered Within Yoga.
