Join me online this Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning for some great Therapeutic Yoga! Here’s what I’ve got on the menu this week:

Yoga for Better Sleep

 

Sleep is critical element of human health and wellness and it is a far more active process than most realize! During our sleep cycle we repair damaged tissues and heal the body, regenerate our cellular structures, boost our immune system, clean out our systems and detox, produce large number of anti-inflammatory proteins, rest our heart, consolidate our memories, recharge our brain, balance our hormones, and reduce stress in the mind and body. So what happens when we don't get enough quality sleep? Well, not only do we feel the lack of energy provided by good rest, but we become much more prone to injury, pain, disease, and mental health disorders as these systems fail to receive the time needed for their maintenance and repair. Sleeping better is one of the single best things you can do to improve your over all health! Join me for this class where we experience yogic breathing techniques which calm us down, mindfulness techniques which clear our minds, and stretches and postures to unwind our bodies and get us ready to rest and enjoy a good night's sleep!

Knee Care & Repair

 

Our knees play a critical role in mobility and share an intimate connection with our feet and hips, continuously navigating the complex ranges of motion which happen above at the hip, and below at the ankle, while trying to create aligned action through a much less diverse hinge we call the knee. When the forces from above and below are balanced, we tend to see happy knees. When certain things go out of balance, we experience joint strain, wear and tear, and the ability to easily 'tweak' things into pain and inflammation. In this class we will look at not only how to care for an injured knee, but also how to give it what it needs to get back on track, and heal the hidden causes that made it susceptible to injury in the first place!
